The network make efforts to empower refugees and migrants to thrive, make a positive contribution, integrate and take control of their own lives. The main activities include; Providing free and independent expert advice and casework; Supporting integration via community projects; Offering counselling, therapy and advocacy for women survivors of gender-based violence; Conducting research and sharing information; Campaigning to affect policy changes at the local and national level.
Migrant help
They offer the clients (vulnerable migrants) the advice and support they need to feel safe and lead successful lives in the UK. They also assist victims of human trafficking and modern slavery on their path to recovery and work with other agencies to combat this abhorrent crime.
The Migrants Law Project, UK
The Migrants’ Law Project is a legal and public legal education project, hosted by Islington Law Centre. The MLP promotes fair treatment and access to justice for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the UK through the use of public law. The MLP seeks to protect and promote the human rights of asylum seekers, migrants, and refugees, by seeking to tackle problems at their root in a sustainable, high impact way.They work towards addressing this imbalance by providing advice, support and training to organisations working with vulnerable groups, and where necessary, using our legal expertise to assist or lead on legal challenges.
